okay i just sold my first bike, and now its time for a newer faster machine , im going to get a 96 - 01 125 cc and either a YZ , KX, RM, or CR im staying away from KTM and other european bikes because there are no dealers around here... anyway i was ondering if there were any "stump years" or bad years in any of this year span and models that i should stay away from or any major problems which i should stay away from....

thanks for your time....

as an owner of a bike that fits your categorie (01 CR125) i no that the years around 2001 for the hondas were all good bikes, having owned a couple of bikes around that year myself. but as for the rest i couldnt coment because i just dont know.

For a 125 in that range of years Blue would prolly be the best way to go

YEah, I'll second blue. I just got a 2001 YZ125 this week. Nice bike, very easy to ride, very very fast... and it definatly is the easiest handling bike I've rode.

what about a kx 125 ? theres a guy selling a 98 for a good deal....

but so you guys all reccomend a yamaha then?

If you can find a bike in real good shape, go for it. No sense in spending extra bucks just for a name. You could set that money aside for a port job, or a new clutch, etc etc...

If you found a good deal on a KX go for it. :thumb:
