How big of a step up is it from a DRZ 400 to a RM 250? I'm 200lbs. and ride MX and trails. Thanks.

Dancrosbie,
I don't know what you kind of riding you do but if it is single track mixed with MX you will love the RM. Yes you will need to change your riding style, but it shouldn't be a big adjustment. The DRZ's are a nice bike but for offroad they are on the heavy side, and for MX they are more than just too heavy.
I have had the chance to ride both modern MX 2 stokes and 4 strokes. I prefer the 2 stokes, but I mainly ride single track the tighter the better.
The 4 stokes certainly have their advantages, but I think you need to be in better shape to go for long periods of time on a 4 stroke. Being that I am both old and out of shape I'll stick to the 2 strokes.
When you start trying to change directions you'll see where the 2 stoke is easier to ride. The RM is heads and shoulders above the DRZ in offroad.
I read an article that talked about the team Yoshi bikes. One thing that surprised me was that in some races they actually stretch the frames on the DRZ's.
