Hi, I just got a used 1996 yz250 and I was wondering if anyone had some past experience with this bike. What did you think about it? Ever had problems with it? I bought it from a guy who works at the dealership where I get my parts for my yamaha IT125. It was completely rebuilt last summer and only has about 20 hrs on the engine. It has a new sleve, new weisco piston, new complete carb, rebuilt crankshaft, stadium suspenshion revalve, new fmf fatty pipe and silencer, new linkage berings and bushings, new barnett clutch, new gears(1 to 5), new shift forks and new tires. It also came with the original pipe and the original carb. It is my first real mx bike and the first 250 I had ever been on. The only recent( 90's +) bike I have been on(only a few times) is my freinds 1992 yz125. The only bike I have ridden previously is my 1980 yamaha IT125.
