My friend has a YZ125 but doesnt know what year, I think it is a 78-79. This is the VIN number he gave me 1w1-010103, How do I tell what year it is?

This bike is right up their alley so to speak. Jason or Glen could tell you right away just what you have. Jason just finished a 1979 125 and it is SHARP!
They can probably help out with advice, parts etc....

Im having the same problem. I own a Yamaha YZ125 but i dont quite know what year it is. The VIN number is 5x3-005714. Can anybody help me with the year?

Looks like a 1982 YZ100, not a YZ125.

Def a YZ100 i had a 1982 yz100j but i was told those yz100's came with a yz125 bottom end post up a picture ill try to help you out a little more.Those yz100's are very fast they scream to i smoked so many bike with that 100.Fun bike.

i bought a bike from my friend earlier this week and i was told it was a yz100 but im not sure of the year or if it even is what he says it is. the vin is 3UL-004848 ,but i cant find anything about it

Looks like your "friend" sold you a 1993 RT100.

Yamaha stopped producing the YZ100 in 1983.
