If you're getting a new bike, nothing should break very soon. The bars will bend whenever you crash. The stock chain is crap...but other than that it's a sound bike

I would think there would be a definite adjustment when moving to 2 wheels from 4. But as far as the bike goes I think its the best all around 250 there is in stock form. I have not once regretted the decision even after riding the other 03's.

Be careful, a Banshee is quick, but my 125 will hang with one NP, and a 250 will eat it for lunch! You know bikes and quads a little, so just start out low. Don't got Chad Reed first crack out of the box. Get used to the power, the handling etc. At least coming off a Banshee you'll already be farmiliar with dealing with the sudden hit a 2 stroke. Just remember you dealing with even more power now!

I'd have these extra parts in my toolbox/truck. Aluminum Bars - the steel ones bend easily. clutch & brake levels -- bend when you fall. New chain -- good idea. Sparkplugs (my 02 is jetted perfect for SoCAl weather, don't know for you tho).
If this helps, it's because so many people on this site have helped me and I'm just passing on what I've learned from them. If it doesn't help . . . well at least I tried . . . (smile)
