Two bikes is pushing it......3 would get me in trouble so she's got to go.....the bike that is......
Torn down to bare frame in Winter 2001 and cleaned, inspected, lubed, and replaced worn parts (new piston, rings, reeds, fr & rr brake pads, wheel bearings, spacers, seals, front brake line, clutch cable, shock bearings, new levers). Extras include pro tapers (woods bend), polished top triple clamp, MSR radiator guards, 3.2 gal tank, devol frame guards, devol skid plate, frederette chain guide, ert gold chain, pc pipe.
Bel Ray gear saver changed every other ride, Bel Ray filter oil used and filter cleaned every ride.
Its not the newest but its one of the cleanest and best maintained. Maybe someone who knows it will chime in and TESTIFY. Yowza!!!! There are some pics in my gallery but you really have to see it to get an idea of how well it has been maintained.
$1950. I'm in the DFW area.

Somebody make an offer. I'd rather knock off a few bucks than give my money to some yahoo site that doesn't even care about you or me, just our money.I don't want to have to fend off people wanting to trade for broken chaninsaws and 3-legged chickens who want me to drive to Sheboygen to get it to 'em (no offense Sheboygenites, its just too far from TX).
Guess who ??

I see a blue bike with cams and valves in my future. Its actually a baby F. A buddy bought it last year and I knew it was only a matter of time before he got tired of it so I made sure it was maintained........all part of the master plan...... muuuwhaaaahaaaahaaaa...... muuuwhaaahaaahaaa.....
Seriously, he bought it very impulsively, paid too much for it, likes the IDEA of having a bike more than actually having one, and needs to get out from under it so I'm trying to help him out but I'd like to get one of the other ladies out of the garage first. Since the 300 is still a pile of parts waiting to be reassembled the CR gets trotted out first. If the weather holds up I'll take her out to Muenster this weekend for one last hurrah.

Yep. Very clean bike. Most 01-up bikes aren't this clean.

Thanks for the input guys, now if I could only ride as well as I can maintain aforementioned "ride"........
BTW...I posted a couple of new pics I snapped this afternoon.

Do you still have the bike? What would be your bottom dollar? You can e-mail me at ckattner@hotmail.com if you want. I am in Lubbock, but would be willing to go to DFW if need be. Thanks for your time.

Is Shetboygen farther than North Caroliner???
Posted by: evenslower---------------------
ckat, I'll send you an email.
James, not sure. Problem is if I go out that way I may not come back to bigD. NC, SC, VA area is my favorite part of the US. I don't get to make it out that way nearly enough.
