Does anybody know what size sprockets Fred Andrews is using for most hare scrambles? Any other mods you guys know of? Thanks.

Find someone with back issues of Dirt Rider, they did a test on his bike last year

A recent issue of Cycle News did a 'Bike of the Stars' page on Andrew's '03 race bike. I can't find mine, but the issue has a list of his mods.

I tried looking on Cycle New's web site but could not find anything related to that. If you find the article please let me know. Thanks.

i found my issue of dirt rider and it says he runs 48 tooth rear and 14t countershaft. Hope this helps.

I don't think Fred's bikes are geared for mortal men.

But if you like bouncing off trees...... heeee heeee.lol

Fred Andrews is only rider in GNCC who has direct support from Pro Circuit. So bike is full with Pro Circuit parts. Most exotic part is the Showa/Pro Circuit suspension pack which cost's about 4000-5000 dollars. Fred favours smooth power, so owner of the Pro Circuit and engine genious Mitch Payton has tuned Fred's bike to give smoooth power. Cylinder and exhaust has been modified and bike has one ring wertex piston and V-Force reeds and Hinson Clutch and offcourse lot more fine details... and how to hell I know all this! Our magazines in Europe has too much info on your drivers...

I'd be happy just to know what he's doing about rear brake disc protection. I can't find anything in the catalogs for the '02 KX250. I've already ruined one disc and would sure like to get some protection before I ruin another one. Any ideas?

I believe Scott's and IMS make a weld on bracket for a shark fin for KX's. Hope that helps

The shark fin for my bike is from Ty Davis company, Zip-Ty racing. It's a real nice unit - light and strong. He used to race green, maybe he has one for the KX.
