what is this rubber o ring for?

I just finnished installing the cylinder on my 96 KDX 200 and after putting all my tools away and cleaning up I found a 1/2-3/4" rubber o ring on the floor under the bike. I've done the top end on this bike a couple of times before and can't think of what this o ring could be used for. Any thoughts?

Hard to say. Maybe the one from the LH KIPS cover. Here's a list of all O rings used on the KDX.

Is it one of the 2 o-rings that go around the end of the pipe where it goes into the engine?
