A local guy makes these for around $180. It is worth it if you ask me! It gives me a lot more conifdence hopping logs and in rocky sections. Comments?

It looks like a more streamlined version of an Aussie pipe guard I've seen posted before, Whips I think is the name. I like it. How is it monted to the frame? I can't really tell by the photos.

There are long nuts welded onto the frame. The same type of nuts used to hold redi-rod together.
