Trailer stolen!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Stumpy---------------------

2002 Cargo Craft 7x14 - single axle, ramp door, black, two homemade wheel chocks, Bridgestone stickers on lower rear corner on each side. My AGV leathers were also in there. It was stolen from my parents' house in Santee, SC. I know it's a long shot but you SC guys look out for the Stumpyhauler.

Sucks!

I feel for you Stumpy! When my boys and I were racing a few years back we had our trailer broken into and bikes stollen twice. Once in a hotel, once in our driveway.

I hope you can find your trailer, and I hope it is found in good shape! Good luck!

Man that sucks Stumpy! Hopefully your bike(s) were not inside? Heres hoping you find it.

That sucks.

I keep a lock on my trailer all the time, and it is just a Harbor Freight fold up model.

I'd like to catch the little gutless turds, so I could to try out my new ratchet pruners!

I'll keep a look out at the races. Sorry to hear this.

Just a quick question,
It's really a moved piont now but, did your trailer have any stickers or anything on it that would stick out? I have avoided putting anyhting on my trailer so as to attract the minimum amount attention.

Posted by: Stumpy---------------------

It had two small Bridgestone stickers on each side, but they couldn't be seen from the road due to the orientation of the trailer. The tounge was locked... not that it helped. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

That felt good... digital scream.

Well Stumpy at least that shinny new Yammi wasn't in there. :thumb: Would insurance cover this under theft?

Your homeowners policy will cover some of this loss. You probably have a $1,000 limit on your trailer and homeowners will cover the other items in the trailer including any motorcycles that did not have the motors in them. If you had the motor out to work on it they would cover the rolling chassis but not the motor. You would also have coverage for any tools, parts, gear, or any other personal belongings in the trailer.

PM me if you need help.

FWIW, my homeowner's deductible is $1,000. My trailer cost $3,000, and theft (and fire, collision) insurance for it is only $62 per year.
