Crf 450 airbox swamp dogg

I love my crf, ive had it about a week now, and i love the 2 stroke pull it has.

Out here in washington, there is alot of creeks to cross, and looking at the airbox, it dosent look very sealed. Will it suck in water and die fairly eaisly, and if so, what can i do to fix it.

Oh by the way, its an 03 not 02

If you take your seat and your side panels off you will see that the box has two cuts down both side angeled from rear to the front. The side panels have wings, as I call them, that stick into the cuts. Other than sealing off the The drain at the bottom of the box, I think your water level will be limited to the height of the those cuts. Hope this helps.
