i got my IMS gas tank for my kx100 yesterday. It fit in there perfectly! The petcock is now down so i don't have to fish under my right shroud for my gas anymore. The only modification was we had to cut a piece of plastic that pressed against the frame bc the tank was in the way. but 3o seconds of sawing and that was done. It doesnt' look too wide. It looks wider on top (obviously), but only bc it goes higher up than my stock tank. it has a bigger gas hole, so no more spilling while filling :flame: . Doesn't widen the seating distance to where i noticed at all. i'll get you guys some pictures when my digital camera will start working. HOPEFULLY TODAY! 
Conclusion: If you ride trails with a kx100/80/85 I would highly recomend getting this.
I got mine from www.RockyMountainMC.com for 199.99 w/ no tax, shipping, or handling. It is a 2.4 gallon. You can get a 2.6 through IMS, but it's 224.99 WITH shipping and handling. so your saving yourself like 50 bucks if you go to Rocky Mountain. Plus I've rdered EVERYTHING through them. Myu pipes, handlebars, and tank. THey all got here on or before the epected deliver. I have been very pleased with their service.
