Just how different are the Delta valves from their Gold valve product line? I recall reading about each some time ago but can't remember the difference.
I have Gold valves installed in both front and back on my 2001 YZ250(since early 2001). I can't say enough good things about them, as the results instantly increased my confidence and helped me get faster. But then again I unlike the MXA test riders did not think the stock suspension was that great. I've also been using Race Tech Super Slick oil, which may/may not be a factor.

I've got the Delta valves in the forks of my 01 YZ250F, and I'm very happy. The front end is nice and plush over the smaller bumps but can still absorb the bigger hits. Also, the midvalve in my forks has been converted back to a standard check plate. Its a pretty easy mod to do, I would recommend it. As far as adjustability, to be honest, I've only ridden at one track in the past year that I've had the valves installed, so i've only got the forks dialed in at that one place.
The paperwork that comes with the valves is good, it covers adjustments and set-up as well as installation.
