im 15 years old and im 6'2" and about 190.....
ive been riding motorbikes for about 5 years now.... i have mainly rode farm bikes(200's) etc.... and i owned an IT175 for about 3 months..... and i currently own a 2 stroke AG 175(i know its gay so dont bother laughing cuz i am myself)....
so i want to move up to a 2stroke dirtbike like a YZ or KX 250..... do you think this is too big of a jump up from 4 stroke 200's?......
also what are you opinions on the '90 YZ250 or the '90 KX250???

It really depends on what type of riding you'll be doing. If you will only be riding trails, a KX/YZ etc. 125 or 250 may not be the best choice. Modern motocross bike have rather explosive power, stiff suspension, and aren't easy to ride for a beginner. On the other hand, if you will be riding MX track all day any of these bikes would be great (the newer the better of course).
If you are hell bent on getting a mx bike, an older 250 wouldn't be a bad idea. In general they are alot easier to ride than a 125, less clutching (more torque). 250's are also easier to convert to a trail bike, with a "woods" pipe and flywheel wieght, maybe suspension work. With a 125 you really have to keep the revs up high to go anywhere fast, this also mean you'll be replacing pistons alot more frequently!
We need to know what type of ridin you'll be doing, and don't lie to yourself as it will just make your choice harder! :thumb:

it will be a lot of mixed riding.....
i have trails a quartermile from my place and the moto-x track is about a milde down the road.... also i will be doing a lot of island riding.... also jumping... so thats y im looking at a MX bike....
