Does anyone have any information on racer resume's? I am just wondering what usually goes on them.

Consider what people are trying to get out of sponsoring you. They are looking for good advertisement. That means they want someone who is out there weekly at the track getting noticed by the rest of the racers there. What does that mean? Consitant top 3 finishes and series overall results, good articulation (as shown in your resume and cover letter) and a good work ethic.

Sponsorhouse is a great resource for posting resumes and information.
Here is a tip , since I get over 2000 resumes a year.
Keep everything short & sweet. Basic information on yourself, some history on your past two years of racing, what your plans and goals are for the upcoming year. If you make straight A's in school it's cool to throw that in also. Always list and thank any sponsors that are currently supporting you.
Try and make the resume sound sincere, that you REALLY want that companies support! Not that you are just throwing your name out there for anyone to look at...the shotgun approach. If you already use their products
or run their decals make a point of that also. One photo of you riding or even better with you standing with your equipment/trailer/bike is enough.
We look through so many resumes a year, we don't have time to read details about every race you were in, your brothers and sisters, etc.
Also, make sure all of your contact information is current and complete.
It's surprising how many resumes we recieve that have no address,
phone number etc. Sometimes there is no return address on the envelope
even, we have no idea how to get back with this person.
