Thanks! I read where Alan Deyo edged Fredette out in Idaho and Jeff was going to have to travel to New York to make the Senior team!

He did

Got back from NY about 2 AM this morning, long drive after a tough weekend but not as long a drive as some (TX, CA, OR, CO to name a few plates I saw). It basically rained all day and night Friday, and most of Saturday and night too. It was a total slop fest, the grass tracks were miserable rutted mud holes that totally consumed the bike, not to mention your goggles, gloves and energy. I think I went through four pairs of goggles and gloves Saturday. Day two was a little better despite the fact that it rained all through the night. Drew cut the course down to just three special tests that included the first & last grass track from Saturday, and no final moto. The grass track was in pretty miserable shape, I think I fell three times on that test and got the bike stuck once. There was even a 4x4 pickup stuck in the mud of one of the corners, must have happened over night or something. Anyway, the three tests Sunday were all in the morning and the rest of the day was a pretty nice trail ride through some really awesome and fun trails. Felt kind of sorry for some of the dual sports, they were riding most of the same trail without going through the special tests. Many of them seemed to attempt to run this course on either worn out knobbys or on their dual sport tires and were not making much progress across the muddy terrain & hills. All and all it was a pretty fun weekend despite the conditions.

It felt real good coming home last night and getting in some warm PJ's after freezing my butt off soak and wet for two-days. The grass track were not not grass tracks, but mud-n-rut slot car tracks. The hills were cool, but I had the pleasure of being run so far back in the pack that I had to deal with dual sporters stuck on alot of hills. Some of those guys are really nice, some of the others are complete A-h*les and total squids! I don't appreciate some one roosting me when I rev up my bike for them to move over (yea buddy, I wanna race you on your XR650L...?), pretty darn ignorant IMO! I guess they forgot a qualifier was going on too! Anyway, the creek crossings was cool, the hills were awesome and everything was nasty, wet and pretty darn tough. Day 2 was better, less cr*p tracks and more trail.

Lissa, congrats on beating some famous guys - Watts and Garrahan.  Maybe we will see you at the WISP GNCC - I bought my raffle tickets last week.

Thanks for supporting the Womens Team by purchasing a raffle ticket! I don't do the GNCC series, but instead compete in the East Coast Enduro Association enduro series. The WISP looks like a very challenging but fun course. I'd like to try it, but I enjoy time-keeping events better. I have alot of friends going to spectate and/or race that event. If you see Mandi or Heidi say 'Hi'. They are probaly some of the nicest people you'll meet.
