MC ends his relationship with KTM?

I seen in a AMA Press release that MC is racing a CR450F in Supermoto after announcing he ended his KTM deal.

Anyone know why he did this?

I assume the chance came to ride red again since he raced KWs practie bike at Mammoth.

My understanding was his agreement with KTM ended after the Vegas SX and he looked into SuperMotard and a friend of his who was setting up something had a deal with Honda so he went there.

Not sure about anymore than that.

MC's contract with KTM (2years racing/2 years consulting) was voided
when he announced his racing retirement. Bud Light also dropped him after the first Anaheim SX. KTM then resigned him to a "Supercross Appearance" only contract so he would ride/display KTM's during his supercross farewell tour. That ended with the Las Vegas SX. I believe he appeared at every
SX except for two.
He is back on the Honda backed TLD Supermotard team and has plenty
of other business ventures in process and on the drawing board.

According to last night's DMXS, KTM pulled out. He approached them with a sponsorship query for motard, and they accepted. Then he kept adding requests...truck? mechanic? etc....The 4th time he added a request, KTMUSA told him to shove it, feeling he was being a pain in the ass.

He then approached Troy Lee, who went into Honda USA and arranged the agreement in MC's absence (apparently because MC was afraid of reconfronting Honda).

Weird deal, but it helps to understand what happened. Doesn't sound like it was the bike.
