So i read on racerX http://www.racerxill.com/063003_04GP_update.cfm that the world championships are reverting to a setup similar to the US with two main classes 125+250f and 250+450f and there will be 2 motos over 35 mins! :thumb:
although it is sad to see the end of the open class, i think with the dilution of the talent it had to happen.
also, great to see there is a good chance that a world MX round will be returning to the birthplace of the sport!
and maybe even a couple of rounds outside europe to give it back a proper "world" championship status. is it too late to put a US GP on my christmas wish list????
cheers

Yeah if you go to www.mxlarge.com it has a bit from the main guy.. cant spell his name, but he plans to have 2 british GP's next year, and a few more aroudn the world, Brazil, Australia and USA but he does not want to conflict with anything happening in america and does not want to lose money for himself and the promoter as it has done in the past. The 650 class is just going to be a 'cup' class, whatever that is. Why do the american factories and riders not support and ride in the GP?? Well when it did last go to budds creek??

35mins plus 2 laps and twice a day, back to close how it should be, good move, and the new promoter knew it had to happen, cant wait till next season and when Coppins and Townley are healthy again!!

Yeah ....its all good. I knew Luongo would get it back on track. And to answer the question above about why US factory teams and riders aren't interested....well I think that they have a chocoblock schedule of their own and just aren't interested in any more races than what they've already have....that and they the fact that they think the GP's are a load of crap anyway.
