Ktm 250 Sx

I have a good line on a brand new KTM 250 CX but am wondering if it is good for me. I ride street bikes lots, am 6'2" and 185lbs. This is my first bike (well lots of street bikes but...) so I am not sure a 250cc 2 stroke is too much. What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?

While I've never ridden one personally, I understand that the 250SX is a beast. The motor is supposed to be insane. If I were a new rider, I don't know that it would be my first choice.

Be sure to check parts availability where you are in Venezuela. The EXC model would be MUCH better for a beginning dirt rider. I bought a CR 250R after 6 months on a 125 and found it a handful. Where are you in Venezuela, Lowpass? I finished a 2+ year assignment in Puerto La Cruz/Jose and loved it. I've heard the riding in the mountains around Caracas is great. It was cool to ride my Honda CR 125R on the street down there to the riding areas.

i am in venezuela right now and wishing i had a bike here. i am about four or five hours from Caracas near a city called Guanare.
