(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Trying to get a head count on the GA HS. Any info on this course/race would be helpful.

Posted by: NEMX305---------------------

I will be there. It will be my first race since moving south.

Posted by: MARK IT---------------------

I guess you dont have any info on the course? I've never road or raced in Ga.
but hear good things. Looks like theres three of us so far from the MS gulf coast area.

Posted by: Lemming---------------------

KDXfile and I will be there. I can't give you any info on the course but do know that that area of the country has a lot more hills and rocks than you have down there in Miss. See you on the line!

Hey Mark,
This may be a little too far away for me. I just got back from vacation, just drove 19 hours. I think I am going to rest this weekend. I do have the fuel selector welded in the reserve pos. LOL. Those new pegs are just itching for a ride.

Posted by: Bennie33---------------------

Mark, who is going with you?

Posted by: Lemming---------------------

Check out the mis-post by andy27414, there's an MXtrack involved.  That makes me happy

John L. - yes, please stay home and recover from your trip.  Plus it's really a long, long, long way for you to drive.  Ok, ok, the truth, it means one less person in the Vet B class

I raced there in the Setra HS, the best i rember its really hilly and redclay. Alot of grasstrack, and the Mx track has no big jumps and is really fun!!! I hope i get to race my back is still a little messed up from MS, but i should be ready by then.

Posted by: olddirt---------------------

The track is probably 10+ miles long with a 1+ mile mx track and a 1-2 mile grass track. The grass track is a blast! The woods are open and no bark busters are needed. Much of the woods is off camber up and down the sides of hills.

Lemming - No sandbagging here!

Posted by: 121wannabeAA---------------------

If I can get my old back back in shape I should do well. I want to have a good race to bounce back from my injury.

Posted by: Lemming---------------------

Sandbagging?  I'm racing Vet B with all those young punks (that's right, I could be racing Senior B).  Take a look at the lap times from the Wiggins race, I got my butt handed to me.   Maybe I should move down to Senior C

Posted by: ktmracer---------------------

I will be there with 3 other guys, 2 from b'ham and another from auburn.

I am going home this afternoon to do some maintenance. If this storm in the Atlantic stays away, I may be able to make it. I am putting on some fresh tires if I go.

Works every time!!

Posted by: JasonWho---------------------

IF I go to this race to watch, would I have to stay in a certain area to watch or can I go along the edge of the trail?

Thank you,
JasonWho

Posted by: ktmracer---------------------

I have a better idea. why don't you bring your bike and race. That way you can spectate along the entire trail.

Posted by: JasonWho---------------------

Nope. :-) My first race will be the MS enduro in August. I am just two hours from this hare scrambles, so I would like to watch it.

ktmracer, what part of AL are you from?

Posted by: ktmracer---------------------

Auburn. i was just messing with ya

Posted by: Lemming---------------------

Anyone heading up on Sat to camp?

Posted by: JasonWho---------------------

ktmracer: No problem. I have a new riding acre of around 200 acres, and I am wanting to see what an "official" trail looks like, then cut trails to look like those. I've got wooded areas, flat pasture area, a couple of stream crossings, etc., so I am wondering how to connect them all together in one long loop like a hare scrambles lap.

Thank you,
JasonWho
