I'm a bit surprised that the majority of votes are going towards how Metzger finished. Do these people really think that FMXers are really on the same level as Pro motocrossers?

While he never won an MX world championship, he was runner up four times. He also was on Great Britain's winning MXdN team in '94. I think he was also English MX champ a few times. Recently, he managed KTM's MX team in Europe.

I was surprised about Metzger because from what I'd heard, he was expected to do well and there was a lot of hype. Surely got a slice of humble pie!

Kurt Nicoll has also raced a lot of Supermoto here in Europe. Seems like every time there is a Supermoto race on (they are on the satellite channels pretty much every day), he's racing.

Metzger had done well against the boys earlier this year. Give him his due, he was one heck of a motocross racer, once upon a time. I have respect for guys like Metzger, Jones, and Clowers because they were good racer long before moving to the circus act.
