IMG Tag Works Inconsistently

So I use the IMG tag in one post, and the image appears inline in the post. I use the IMG tag in another post, and a hyperlink appears instead of an inline image.

In this thread, IMG tag resulted in inline image (8th post down):

Same size image, same target server. I'll try both IMG tags here to see what happens.

Some forums have the feature turned on, others don't. I don't know which ones exactly are on or off, though.

I also think it has a relationship to the skin you are using.
The ecko expanded won't let me post, but the Yamaha will.
