2003 Gas Gas EC200

How does Gas Gas EC200 compare to a KTM 200exc. I am getting a new bike and this is what it came down to. I have ridden a 200exc and I didnt feel it hit hard. If I get the Gas Gas I will get the ohlins forks on it as I have heard good things about them. I race on the east coast and generally the Hare Scramble races I go to are tight. Any help would be appreciated.
