Duro tires

motorcyclespecialities.com lists several tires that seem awfully cheap, but: are they good?
Duro, Kenda, GBC...
I destroyed my pricey Dunlops riding in the Arizona canyons and I need a good front tire for hard-intermediate terrain.
Do you have a comment on the cheaper ones ?

Anything even remotly hard will shred a duro tire after 1 ride. Kenda tires work really good in softer dirt/mud, but also will throw knobs and wear rather fast. Tires really go with the saying you get what you pay for. Michelin m12 or h12 would be a great tire, also a dunlop 756 is a great tire and will hold up awesome in intermediate/soft, but not great if you ride a lot of hardpack. just my $.02

Thanks for your reply. I have been avoiding getting into replacing my own tires. But since I live far and away from the closest motorcycle shop, chances are I'll be better off learning how to do it.
Someone at Cycleworld.com suggested for me to by Kings...any comments ?

I am actually running a pair of kings right now. I just bought them about 3 weeks ago. I have 1 race, and about 3-4 practices on them and so far they have been working great. I am running the soft terrain tires, they have spaced out knobs w/ squares in them. After about 3 days in hardpacked dusty tracks, i have only worn the squares off of the knobs, and are getting slightly rounded. But since you are after hardpack tires, try their intermediate terrain tire with the knobs a little closer together. I know a few people who are having very good luck with those. They are a good tire for the price imo. I got both tires for $80 from a local dealer. I'll look for the numbers/names of those tires for ya, and i would definately recommend them.
