Synthetic/Castor Blend vs. Full Synthetic Pre-Mix

Hey everybody,
I would like to know what everyone's opinion is about running full synthetic premix or running a synthetic/castor oil blend. I know synthetic is generally better, but in this case is the extra cost worth it? Let me know what you think and what you use, any responses are appreciated. Thanks aolt.

I am not sure "synthetic" is better at all. Castor based oils protect 2 stroke engines well. That is the reason for the popular use of castor oils.
There are some synthetic oils that are not so good (I had very poor results with Redline Racing oil). I work in aviation where everything is measured in hours. I maintain my 2 stroke engines based on an hourly schedule. So, I base my oil test results on the number of hours I get before compression loss. I take 2 stroke engine life very seriously.
I have had the very best overall results with Mobil 1 MX2t.

Chris-- Thanks for the reply.
Okie-- Sorry, I didn't think to search first, and after I posted the thread, I saw the 2 Stroke Oil thread in this forum. I'll try to remember to search before I post next time.
