Has anyone had an engine stalling problem off the bottom? I've got a 01 yz250f that when you give it gas slowly it is fine, but do it quick and it dies. Anyone have this happen? What was the fix?

Accelerator pump spray starts too early (maybe even hits the slide) or lasts too long. A more far-fetched possibility is that the idle is set too low or idle jetting is off.

Search for BK mod and accelerator pump and you will get the idea of what it is all about.

Sometimes the accel pump gets packed with outside mud & spooge and doesnt work at all and sometimes the idle fuel mix screw falls out on the trail or track. When the valves start to get tight it may want to tend to stall out .Is it hard to start? or harder than usual?

Most likely it is a lean bog(stumbble, miss or coughf)
If it runs pretty good cold with the choke on,it is a
good sign that it is lean.
What I would do is buy/read a Holley carb manual,Carter carb manual or
a Q-jet carb Manual!!! These books have very very good info on carbs!!
Also it does the same for your tow rigs...FI.(thats a different story-sorta)
