Whats the raciest off-road bike?

I'm just curious on your opinion...of which bike is somewhere between a mx bike and a offroad bike or a bike that has the hit of a mx bike but can handle trails? simple question

I'd check out a KX-500 or a KTM 2 stroke EXC or maybe MXC. The KTM's come in mutliple sizes so it shouldn't be hard to find the one you really want. The KDX 200 or 220's are great bikes to, they are great for trails although they have quite a mellow hit. Although in some trails, the hit of a full blown mx bike isn't always a good thing.

completely a matter of opinion. I like the japanese 2 stroke mxers for trail riding. The "hit" is usually pretty minimal on modern mxers. On the other hand, the euro off road 2 strokes make better trail bikes which are ok for casual mx. The main differences are not power delivery so much as wider ratio gearing, bigger tank, lights, trail oriented suspension. Kdxs are good for beginners or if you are on a budget. This is opinion only, like everything else here
