From the looks of it, if i lived 30 miles east, I woulda had power. Anybody know the cause yet? I've heard it was Ohio's fault, Canada's fault or New York's fault.

I think it was a the work of a lone squirrel, chewing on a wire.
It's funny how the power outage worked. I like in upstate NY and the power never flickered at my home. But the power was out in the towns next to mine. Weird.

That looks like it was photoshopped.... the sea has a slight blueish cast and yet the blackout area... even around the fringes... does not!

seems alot of people are blaming canada for the blackout... how is this our fault?

I'm not going to rule that out either. I think the whole blackout was photoshopped.

My dad sent me a picture of before and after that really showed the blacked out areas. You could tell it wasn't photoshopped because it showed the area that still had power mixed in with those that didn't. I'm trying to get the picture again. I deleted it by mistake but I'll post it when I get it.

I agree that is was photoshopped as well, and it wasn't even a good job, it looks like they just filled in black, what they should have done is cloned some of the area there up in canada and filled in with the clone, that would have been a much better job, IMHO

It was me, I flew into Toronto, went to the motel, hung up my close and plugged my Iron in PHEWW no lights, no tv no electric...needless tosay, I stayed on my room on the 10th floor. no telling what those northerners would do to me!
