Oil under XR250 flywheel cover?

Is there supposed to be oil under the flywheel cover on an 02 XR250?

My friends has a lot, and I can't imagine it leaking that much but I've never seen an ignition system that is immersed in oil like that.

My XR400 has oil in there.

I have never met a dry flywheel.

Yeah, it is suppose to be there. I rode two strokes for years before I owned an XR250. I freaked out the first time I removed that cover and oil ran all over the place.
