Ok, I dont see any post for Paragon for Labor day weekend. Who's in?
Im up Satruday and Sunday but Sunday is girlfriend day so I'm up for some rrrRRRRRRIIIIPPPPiiiinnnn on Saturday.

Posted by: gxdragon---------------------

Scooter said he'll be there Sunday & Monday. Me and a friend from work are making plans to be there on Sunday. He's a new rider on a dual sport so we'll be takin it easy Sunday. I'd love to go Saturday too but I doubt I can get two days in a row out of my wife.

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

Monday is possible, very possible...

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

Hey RV, what you asking for that TS 185? Got a title and all the street stuff for it?
jasong@jpmascaro.com
(sorry, I dont have PM)

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

Jason,

I don't think this will affect you, but Bonners no longer has camping, I am not sure of the details, but I think that is only for non-members.....so you should still be safe with your "luxury condo"

And yes, i will be there Sun and Mon, but Sat is out for me.

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

Jason, give me a call on the TS. 908.537.7550 It doesn't have a title (I'll give you a bill of sale so you can get one) but it does have all of the required street legal stuff.

I'm trying but this weekend is shot again. Who in there right mind arranges a Birthday party on the Saturday in a holiday ? I have to drive my son out to Lancaster for it. Sunday is out as all weekend my daughter has a friend down from Royersford and Monday is the last day for the pool this year.

Funny a month ago I told my wife that we would be going up Friday through Sunday so don't make plans. I guess I have to give in when other people make plans for us.

Hopefully see you guys some time in September.

Flying Scot

It looks like we are making plans for Sept 21 ( there is another thread here for that) So tell your family not to make plans, take your phone off the hook, and don't open any of your mail for the next couple weeks....then maybe you will be free to join us

Posted by: gxdragon---------------------

We're planning on being there about 9am. How about you scooter?

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

I should be there between 9 and 10, but i m ay be guiding on Sunday, I don't remember if I am supposed to guide this week or next, The extra money for guiding is nice, so I can't turn it down.

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

Ahh, looks like Im solo for Saturday then, oh well, Ill find something to do .
RV, thanks, I was looking for someting ready to put on the rode. I had a 74 TS 185 street leagal a few years back, it was cool, my bud is looking for someting to keep up at the "Red neck Condo" that we could rip to wal mart or someting if we wanted to . Fixin up a 75 XL 175 for a guy up there right now, word of advice, if you ever have a chance to pick one of these up, DONT!!!!!! If anyone ever ask you to work on one, RUN!!!!!!

Posted by: gooby---------------------

Hey all,i was thinking of making the trip from upstate ny(north of syracuse). At first i was thinking saturday but due to work i can't get prepared if i am to go and might even have to work sat now.I keep threatening to go to paragon ,are people going to be there for sure sunday?I ask because one....i might be free to get there finally,two.... it looks like i'm alone and don't want to drive down and not be able to go riding.

Also i look at the map and see trails in green, dark green, blue, red ....do the colors mean anything other than to seperate and show the different trails? thanks

Posted by: gooby---------------------

I forgot, how would i find those going should i make it there?

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

gooby,      check here for a description of the trails, http://www.paragonap.com/map.htm  the light green trails are listed as yellow on the description.  The ratings are more for the SUVs, but they give you a general idea of what you are in store for.  Green trails are what you will ride mostly, and if you follow Eugene, or want to find some rocks to play on, you may hit some green3, or blue trails.  Unless you are really into the extreme rocks, you will want to stay away from the black and red trails.

I will be there, but as I said, I may be guiding and don't know if I will be free to ride yet.....but I will be in a blue Silverado, with a Cannondale, and blue KTM in the bed....should be very easy to find me, and if I am not available to ride, I'm sure there will be someone there you can hook up with.

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

Jason, if you're still up for it I'll be there Saturday!

Posted by: gooby---------------------

Thanks for the info.As the weekend gets closer i'll know what's up and check this thread to see who and when things are happening.thanks again

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

When is Saturday???? My calander doesn't have any Saturdays on it, it just has "workday....workday....run errand day.....workday....workday.....workday....Sunday

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

"Jason, if you're still up for it I'll be there Saturday!"

Yeahhhh!! Sweet! You bet Im up for it. I was really kinda hoping to ride Paragon Sat AM at least.

Come on Scooter, all the hours you work, you should own that hot dog stand by now, and a whole chain of em to boot!

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

We'll plan for the usual 9am meet-n-greet with a 10am ride-out. How does that sound?

"Come on Scooter, all the hours you work, you should own that hot dog stand by now, and a whole chain of em to boot!"

Funny! Scooter, didn't you get the memo, nothing is going to break at work on Saturday. Enjoy your day off!

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

Ok, yeah Ill be there signed in and ready to roll by 9:30 AM then. Gotta start laoding the van tonight .

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

Nope.....SAaturdays are out for me......As of October 1st I will own the business, then I should be able to work in some Saturdays, until then there is a lot of overtime getting things together for the boss to retire and myself to take over.........I just hope things go smooth since I will be at Dirtweek when the changeover takes place.....gotta keep those priorities straight

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

"As of October 1st I will own the business"

YHAAAAAAAY!!!!! Free hot dogs for all DRN riders!!!! YHAAAAAY!

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

I didn't know I dealt with hotdogs though???????

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

Congratulations Dan!

Posted by: gooby---------------------

Another question i forgot to ask.For jetting, what elevation are we talking at paragon?

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

If you are from Upstate NY, you should have no problems with your current jetting...elevation ranges from around 1900 feet down to around 1200 feet.  The biggest drop on a hill would be turtle trail which starts just over 1800 feet and drops down to just below 1200 at the bottom

Me and a friend from work will be there Sunday around 9am. I drive a silver subaru forrester and will have a KLX400 on a flat trailer. As I stated earlier he's riding a dual sport and is new at riding off road so we will be taking it easy if you're still interested let me know and I'll keep an eye out for you. You can post here or email me at gxdragon@aol.com put PARAGON in the subject otherwise I may delete with my junk mail.

Scooter, is the single track marked any better than it was when we rode it in July? I only remember that one entry point about halfway up a hill. hope it's easier to find now.

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

gxdragon,  sorry but I haven't gotten around to working on any of the single track lately.  I am waiting for some orange arrows instead of the green and black onest they are using now, and I have been busy guiding the last few weekends.  Now it is too close to the moonshine enduro to mark any trails, since I don't want to get our markers mixxed up with theirs (although that could add some confusion and excitement to the race )  So I probably won't get around to any more trail marking until after Dirtweek.

Posted by: gooby---------------------

What can i say but wow! Today was an absolute blast! It was exciting and challenging compared to the bunny trails i ride around home ,met very cool people .Excellent time guys,i'm glad to have had the chance to meet and ride with you, thanks again .Hey ,i'll be thinking about that single track for days

Posted by: scooter1130---------------------

gooby, glad you finally had the chance to experience Paragon.  Maybe next time, I'll be able to ride with you a little more.

Don't forget about the 21st if you can make it

Posted by: rv6junkie---------------------

I went on Saturday, but it was a short day. The guy I went with hit a tree as we were cruising down trail 78. He zigged when he should have zagged, locked up the brakes (now your a passenger!) and sandwiched his knee between a tree and his bike. I drove him to the hospital and after a 3-hour wait we learned that he didn't do any real damage, it's just painful and swollen. We thought that it was broken so it’s a good outcome.

I looked for Jason, and waited until 10am before we hit the trails. Sorry we missed you.

They are doing a lot of work to that place. The sand pit area has been totally cleaned up and the top of Valley Road has been widened. I was hoping to see the progress on the MX tracks but Dwayne’s injury made that a lesser priority.

I probably wont get back there until after DW.

Posted by: JasonJ---------------------

Sorry I missed you RV, I got held up in a long line in the sign in trailer and just missed you, I was running a bit later than normal too but I was up there at 9:45 and just missed you. I did see you on the trail at one point I think but I was tied up with anoter group and I was leading. Sorry I missed you and sorry about your bud, I did get some fun riding in with some people I met in the lot from NY that were ready to roll out since I needed to go out with someone. Then after lunch we did a two man DRN WR ride and had a good time checking out some unfamiliar trails. Then I met some buds in the camp ground and we did a lightning rip into and back out of paragon as a guys KTM just started falling apart from the 30MPH abuse . My front tire went flat too but thats nothing new nor a reason to stop .
