sure put the correct air pressure in the tires and bleed ther air out of the forks with the bike on a stand!

Jus take a drill and hog out any big metal parts. That will make it lighter. You can remove some spokes and the rim locks also. I never bother with an air filter...
(Cut those bumps off the tires)

What are you trying to accomplish? In stock form the bike is very capable. I can't imagine you want any more power than it should be giving you already.

Other than setting sag and suspension settings... I can't think of any free mods.
You might consider a tall seat and different pegs if you are over 6 feet tall, a good chain and decent bars but those aint free.
