138 (Phelan) Ridge Ride

Here's a heads up to any of you SoCalers looking to hook up for a ride on Labor Day. Check the SoCal Wrecking Crew forum for details! (Thread titled, 'Anyone riding Sunday or Monday')
The Phelan ridges staging area is right across from the offramp of the 15 Frwy to Hwy 138. Riding is intermediate to expert, with a fire-road running parallel to the trail for the weak-of-heart. The loop is do-able with an MX tank, and if we still have the energy we do 2 loops.
Expect tight single-track through scrub oaks and junipers, steep, sandy up and downhills, and spectacular views from the higher ridges. You'll need an Adventure Pass to park at the staging area, as this is forest land, and they are available at the Chevron at the off-ramp.
