i am 17 and want to get a bike i got offered a kdx 125 buy a dads mate i want it for travelling in woods and fields round our area but i also want to try some jumps can anybody tell me if the kdx is suitable for jumpin? please thanks

it can be jumped. even though the KDX is only OK at jumping, make sure you setup your suspension for your weight. Race sag, springs, valves. otherwise, youll be bottoming out like a mofo. I race mine in MX, and am in 12th place, and have only been to about 1/4 of the races. I usualy finish mid to upper mid pack in the 250C class.
