can anyone give me some of the differences between the two bikes?
i know that they are pretty similar bikes but i have been hearing different things about each of them ?
i am looking to use this bike for some open trails, some semi-tight trails, and mx (not racing just some fun track play)

ps. already did a search and just came up with controversy.

That's because either bike will work about the same for what you are wanting. Not much difference that you will notice depending on the year.
We still need more info from you.
