I am installing new springs on the 98 220 soon, (mx track is killing my arms now) after install of the springs should I keep the fork boots or toss them. I think I read on here where they may not let you get full travel. Fact or Myth ?

you will need something to keep the dirt out or you will eat up seals fast . if you dont use the boots get some seal savers .

Come on...........they are just little rubber boots. How could they limit travel?

Keep them! they work great!

I like them because they keep dirt out and save the seals. In addition, I highly recommend fork bleeder valves for the top of the forks. This $25 investment plus the boots will almost guarantee that you will eliminate leaking fork seals.
