I assume you have a White Bros. pre-jetted carb kit? I have one on my DR350 back in 1991 and finally gave up on it. The kit had a 2-stroke carb, in other words one with a large primary choke on the needle jet.

I don't know what else to tell you other than call the company that sold you the kit and ask them for baseline specs. That bike is fairly rare and requires someone with specialized knowledge. This forum is intended more for late model 2-stroke mx bikes.

Good luck

I would suggest talking to this guy:

http://www.kientech.com/

Just give him an E-mail or a call. His name is Jesse. He is a super guy when it comes to DR's Good luck.

Also there is a few guys at

http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/ with DR650's. They might be able to give you some help if one has maybe used the same setup.
