I've been fooling around with the idea of going back to the 125 class as this year was hard for me on the 250 as it has way to much power then what I was used to. So my question is would a 250f(which it would be a rmf/kxf)be under powered for my 190lb. 5'11'' frame? Right now I'm coming off a '03 kx250 that rips. Looking for a little help. Thanks.

Everyone may have a slightly differant felling on this topic. The only way to truley answer it is for you to ride one of the other bikes.

Coming off of a 98 kdx 220 with all the mods to a kx250f I don't see any drop off in power. My kdx ripped but so does the kx, I ride with another guy who has a 02 kx250 and he doesn't pull me. I'm 6' 190. I've heard it is cramped for taller riders,I don't feel cramped at all. I will change bars to the cr high but that is a personal preference. I love the bike, the suspension is soooo much nicer then the kdx's was.

I got a yz250f with all the good stuff on it. it absolutely hauls. I pull away from 2 stroke 125's like they are XR100s. i dont race MX or anything serious, but the 250F's are made for MX so i'm sure it would suit you fine. I've rode 125's before and after getting my 250F i will never go back. The couple extra pounds that it has is, in my opinion, well worth the super-broad power band, almost 50% more torque, and superior front and rear wheel traction. Try a 250F (any color) I guarantee you'll love it. I wouldn't get a kawi or a suzuki, all the reviews I have read of them give them sub-par reliability and durability ratings.
