Which 125 for tight woods?

I'm knocking around the idea of getting a 125 for racing some of the tight hare scrambles and play riding in the mountains. So, which brand would be the best to modify? I was considering the CR since it's very light but from what I read it's a pig of a motor and get out of it's own way.

Any ideas?
