Must be nice to go riding, we have over 12 inches of snow, and 0 degrees tonight.

Im jealous now.

Im sweltering in 100F or about 40 celcius heat and its just to hot to go riding. Unless you like heat exhaustion..... Oh and 3rd degree sunburn.

I've got some tweaking to do but I'd say I like it, a lot!

Oh man, had some fun today!

I could loft the front end before in 3rd gear, but now I don't even have to be on the pipe!
I was in 3rd heading up a slight incline about 1/4 throttle and had a small tree lying across the trail in front of me, I blipped the throttle and the front tire came up about 3 feet off the ground. Scared the crap out of me!

Wibby,

You trying just the carb or head and carb? I'm assuming both unless you had a spare head. I'm going to get a carb and deciding if I should get the head done later.

Best,
Greg

Posted by: wibby---------------------

I tried both, I also took my pipe to Pacific Crest and had all the dents removed on my pipe, while I had the bike torn apart.

have the carb and head mod. it rocks. plus r is a super nice dude and will help you anyway he can. spend the dough you wont regret it.

Thanks Wibby and KDXrdr. I wasn't sure about getting the head done too. I just didn't want to take the head off since it's running pretty well. I'm buying a modified Air Striker from him and the two extra needle jets that CC suggested somewhere else. I'll think about getting the head done later when I need to do another top end unless I get some kind of porting or overbore.

Best,
Greg

what needles are you talking about getting? my carb came with a dek needle. when i got it back from rb he had installed a cek needle and sent me my dek back. you might ask him if he will send you the dek if your going to buy the carb from him. i bought my carb from pro-flo and sent it to rb.

I followed canyncarvr's advice earlier that if Ron installs a CEK then get a BEM and a DEK. I'm buying the carb directly from him - saves me from going to the post office. :-)

I'm still figuring out how needles work. I've read the JustKDX needle page a couple times so I'm going to read it a few more times until it finally sinks in.

Best,
Greg
