Hey guys, im trying to fix and sell my 2nd bike (89 KDX200), but it hasnt been running right, on idle, it surges very bad, i thought it was an air leak somewhere(turns out there was one) but that didnt fix it, so i check out the reeds and found this:

and

as you can see, its pretty bad, looks like it melted. When i opened it up last spring for a top end, it had some very small signs of it being warped/melted, but didnt seem like enough to justify buying a new one. I didnt think anything of it and put it back together. Anyone know what could have caused this ??? I have no clue what could have done this, other that that, the bike has been fine, havent had any problems in the 4 years or so that we have had it. I want to get this worked out to prevent it from happeneing again.

A replacement is 150$ CDN and i can't afford that ATM so if anyone has a used one in good condition laying around, let me know.

thanks.

You want a reed block? I've got a 96 take-off with either no time on it or just a break-in ride, I forget. I think it'll fit an 89, but I'm not sure.

I just called the local dealer and they said that the 96 will not fit. but thanks anyways.
