01 KTM 520 oil in ignition cover

Just bought a secondhand 01 KTM 520 and took ignition cover off and was filled half full of engine oil . This is my first KTM four stroke is this normal or do I have problems with my engine ? I am due to race on sunday.

Thank you I rang my friend a local tuner and he started giggling at me . Felt stupid.
