Chipped reeds

I've got a boysen RAD valve with the carbon-fibre reeds. I've discovered one corner is chipped away. I know I've read on the forums that it's a common fault, so I'll get the 'other' reeds for it.
My question is, do I need to worry about the missing piece? I imagine it would have gotten pulverised and burnt up by now, but I'd like to know what you all think. Is there any chance any of it could be still floating around in the crank?
BTW, the chip is about 3-4mm square.
Thanks,
andrew

I wouldn't worry about it, and not just because it isn't my bike.

When I tore down my bike last month a piece was gone from the reeds. Took a cursory look and couldn't it, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Most likely went out the exhaust.

Thanks.
Another question: are the fibreglass reeds for the RAD valve the #607's or the #RL-16's? My RAd has two screw holes for the reeds.

Hey Andrew,
The Boyesen 607 reeds have 3 screws each holding them on.
