What is the difference between this years bike and last years? do they equate to little more then "Bold New Graphics" or are they worth the dough id be shelling out on a new bike?

Also... i knowtice that the CRF250R is down on power when compared to the YZ250F, is it the same case for their bigger brothers? Just wondering..

also.. any rumors of any *big* changes to happen in '05

i know that is some pretty unrelated questions to ask, but trying to keep my posts to a minimum, as i have a TON of questions for at least two months before i drop 6 grand... unless it was as a down payment on a black/orange buell firebolt XB12R...ahhh....bbuueell

I just read an artice on MXA, raised the compression, shaved 1/4lb of the flywheel and piston (combined) over all the bike is about 3lbs lighter.. Also come w/Renthal bars..

The rumor i hear about the 05 CRF450R is it is going too have a new frame, lighter and narrower..

I owend an 03 and now have an 04. Hands down the 04 is faster. The 03 had a bog off bottom which is gone in 04. The 03 was almost electric in its power delivery, the 04 is the same only it revs WAY faster. RickD is correct on the diferences. They also added a new pipe/exhaust system and went to a smaller rear sprocket to tame it down. Top triple clamps and plastic is new on the 04's too.

Gripper seat cover as well.

They changed the igniton power curve to so it had a totally different power deliverly but a better power deliverly. They also feel great in the ergos department. The bars are great. Many mags have said this bike is as close to a works bike in stock form as you can get so it sounds good to me!

Also if i was oing to drop 6+ grand it would be for the crf 450 im sure you dont care but its my opinion.
