Choosing between two 250F MX'ers

Hi all,

I will be buying soon (july) a new 250 4-stroke motorcross bike.
I have limited my options to these two:
-KX250F
-CRF250

I am 5'11 high, I have been riding mostly on road, and riding trails and enduro from the age of 13 and a half (on an XR100, and alot on an ATV, so I guess my skill level is intermediate or so..).

I will use the bike for enduro/trail rides (I live in Canada, Quebec, in the suburban's next to Montreal). I have alot of trails near my house.
I will most likely try and go using it in local motorcross tracks near me.

Besides your suggestions, I wanted to know a few things:
1) are the rumors regarding the problem in the gearbox of the KX250F (4th gear I think it was) true? if i'll buy a new bike it's going to be a new version with updated parts?
2) is it true that the KX250F has problems starting when hot?

Anything else I should know please say...

The gear problem has been with some bikes but not all. Sort of like the valve problem with the CRF450 and the crank problem with the early YZ250F's.

If jetted correctly the bike should not be a problem. You may have to jet it after you buy it.
