Anyone with ED11 front tire on their KDX?

I'm currently running a M-12 Michelin on the front. At first it seemed like the cats meow, but lately I've had a few insecure feeling experiences with powder over hard pack and rocks. In the old days I ran an ED11 Bridgestone on my ATK406 and TT350 Yamaha. It seemed like I had good results in the mountain desert terrain that I mostly ride. The problem is that it's been too long ago for me to remember well.
I'm now running a D756 in the rear but it's about shot. I'm considering a VE33 IRC or a C6001 Maxxis. Can't decide. Will a 110/100 Maxxis fit well or should I go with the 100/100? How about size on the VE33?

Compared to my old 110/100 756, 110/100 ve33 looks little on the skinny side
The VE33 wears like iron but does not hook up as well as the 756 in some situations
When I first put the VE33 on, 'Carvr told me "that thing will put you on your BUTT!"
Well, he was right, AGAIN!
It even put him on his butt!

Thanks for the input. My D756 is 100/100. Looks like I should shoot for a 110/100 Maxxis 6001 for my next rear tire.
