It is billed as one of the toughest races in the country.

Here is the address for the event: http://www.unitedoffroadracing.com/

We've been having plenty of rain in this area so trail conditions should be perfect.

Have fun guys!!!!!

MUD, LONG AND HARD.

I went to the website and everything I try to open, (the flyer, pre entry form) opens up in Microsoft word, but it is just a bunch of code. I am by no means a computer wiz so I have no Idea how to fix that.

I figured someone here had the answers I need.

Do you have to join the series? How much?

How much is entry for Sundays race?

What are the times for Sundays race?

Would like to try it at least once might as well be this time.

we got several inches of rain in the last couple days, not sure if they did up there (2 hrs north) maybe the run will be more like it was when it was in May!

You need Adobe Reader to see the flyer. Go here to get the reader http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

This link is located on the bottom of the page where the flyers are located. You will need it for other stuff so you might just as well get it and its free.

I don't think you have to join the series to run the big races.

Race starts at noon on Sunday.

I think its $40 entry fee on Sunday.

You can get info at 815 778-3641

Cycle News

http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=6244

I am surprised it was scheduled the same weekend as the ISDE Qualifier

that was a poor decision IMO

Posted by: Berkyboy---------------------

1) Chuck Woodford

2) Jimmy Jarrett

3) Cole Calkins

4) Shane Watts

5) Nathan Kanney

Woodford and Jarrett swamped back and fourth for the lead for the first 5 laps than Woodford broke away to win by 4 and 1/2 minutes. (Winning time 4hrs and 12 mintues)

Conditions were actually dry with easier than normal course. The heat was actually the deciding factor. Both Watts and Jarrett were whipped by the end.

I'll try to post some "extreme" photos over the next couple of days.

Whats up? Are you guys still to tired from ride this event to write about?

Lets hear about your adventures.

Posted by: pmccormick---------------------

I started the thread, but ended up not going. With the amount of rain Northern Illinois got in the weeks prior, I envisioned myself and the bike ending up a submarine somewhere on the course. Plus, my previous racing experience this year was the FL GNCC round, so I was not in the mood for a repeat of that (see pics in the recent DIRT RIDER or Dirt Bike mags if you don't know what I am talking about). Oh, and the bike wasn't ready, my tux didn't come back from the cleaners, an old friend came in from out of town, someone stole my car, there was an earthquake in my front yard, a terrible flood, locusts...

OK, I wussed out.

Seriously, someone give the rest of us a report. How did it go?

I did one lap, no excuse. The last time I rode the moose run was in 1981. I thought the whole thing was great and I will be back next year for sure. The weather was great, my bike worked great, I won a motion pro magnetic bowl for signing up. I had a great time . Now can't wait till the 6-20-04 hare scrambles a Wedron.
