Of TP, a DRZ and Budd's

Anyone know anything about this? It started off as a joke at DMXS--they thought it would be cool if he rode a DRZ from his house to the track, blinkers and all, qualify for the main, race, and ride it home. In jeans and plaid shirt, nonetheless.

Apparently, he's gonna DO IT???

I like Travis, but I wonder if this is more insulting and degrading to the sport than funny and 'cool'. He has said he's only 3 seconds an SX lap behind his RM times. What's that say about those $70000 RM's?

Nuts and talent should be mutually exclusive.

Three seconds is about a five percent decrease in lap times. That's HUGE!

Just watch him catch his knee on the side view mirrors will doing a backflip over Henry Hill and tear his ACL...again!!!

i think its hilarious, i hope he pulls it off.

I doubt it would be allowed.

Humm... I wonder is there IS an AMA rule that would stop it?
I'd suspect they'd (AMA) raise so much stink over it, he wouldn't do it.

I hope he forgets to turn his blinker off after the first turn.

Well he would need proper protective clothing for a start and i suspect no lights and turn signals are allowed-glass could cause cuts etc.I think its a wind up.

I read yesterday that he said he wanted to do it "wearing jeans and a long sleeve white t-shirt", But that he isnt going to do it now because too many people were against it. He said you will have to wait to see him ride again till 05 supercross...
Suzuki probably didnt think too fondly of it
