Australian Andrew McFarlane wins his first GP event by winning both MX2 motos at the Italian GP.

I agree, back in 2001 McFarlane gave an outstanding performance for his first year in the GP's (the MX1 class was his introduction to GP racing). Since dropping down to the MX2 class, he hasn't really performed as well. This year however, he has picked up the pace and is currently ranked 4th.
Hopefully we'll see a few more wins, though Townley & Sword are the men on fire at the moment.
