You'll also need a high output lighting stator which can be purchased at rockymountian also for about $150. I've been thinking about doing this also, let me know how it turns out.

Do you want a real lighting set up so you can ride all night or a cheap set up to get you out of the woods?

I've got a number plate with 2 LED lights that is battery powered. I rigged 4 3V batteries in a PVC sleeve and zip tied it to the back of the plate.

Not great light but better than pitch black.

I'll sell the whole set up cheap.

I have a 2001 KX 250 and I went to a bicycle shop and bought a cheap, battery powered headlight that clamps to the handlebars.....it's not that bright....but then again....neither am I...
