18" Rim on YZF

Would an 18" rim be benifical for my 99' YZ400f. I found a really cheap one and my stock excel is bent. I found a brand new excel for $50. i didnt know if it handled any different or has any if at all, advantages. Thanks for any feedback.

I think there has been a posting before on 18 vs 19 rims on the KDX pages. Try a search and see what you come up with.
In the UK there is more choice of tyres with 18" rims. The tyres also have a higher profile which reduces the chance of rim damage and pinching the tube if you are riding on rough ground. Since you have a YZ I'm assuming you ride motoX and you won't be riding over rocks, so this might not be important.
